Principal
The ECTS is seeking an experienced, dynamic leader to fill the position of Principal. The ideal candidate will embrace and promote the ECTS mission to prepare all students for careers, post-secondary education, and life-long learning by providing knowledge and practical skills through high quality, integrated, standards-driven curriculum, access to current technologies, work-related experiences, and partnerships within the community.
Must possess excellent leadership and organizational skills, strong interpersonal and communication abilities, and a clear knowledge and understanding of technology.
ECTS is a career and technical center that services approximately 1000 students in grades 10-12.
Responsibilities:
Provide assistance and support in the administration of the total school mission including student management, daily operations of the school together with the Executive Director, and policies established by the Joint Operating Committee.
- Collaborate with sending school administrators to support ECTS students
- Engage actively in professional development and stay abreast of best practices in CTE
- Assist in the development and implementation of ECTS’s education programs
- Induct, supervise, mentor, and develop staff and students
Qualification:
- Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Supervisor of Career and Technical Education Certificate and/or Pennsylvania Principal Certification K-12
- Experience in Special Education preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
- Existing leadership in a school setting desired
- Commitment to continuous improvement and a passion for promoting student achievement and success
Terms:
- Full-time, 228-day administrative contract (Act 93)
- The starting salary range is roughly $80,000 to $95,000 based on experience and/or level of education.
- You must have or be willing to obtain Act 34, Act 114, and Act 151 Clearances.
- Candidates without appropriate certification through the PDE must be willing to complete the coursework requirements to obtain either PA CTE Supervisor or CTE Director certification, or K12 Secondary Principal Certification, within 3 years.
- Masters’ Degree in Education or related field and experience in Career and Technical Education is preferred.
