Job Title: Group Facilitator

Salary: $38,000
Job Summary
The Group Facilitator is responsible for coordinating and facilitating group sessions, home visits, and program activities in collaboration with other team members. This position will lead parenting groups using The Incredible Years and Motherhood curriculums and requires a strong commitment to supporting families. Employment is contingent upon successful background checks, including a criminal background check, child abuse history, and FBI fingerprinting.

Education and Experience
- Preferred: Associate degree in education, social work, or a related field.
- Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience working with families and children, particularly in social services or community programs.
Key Responsibilities
Group Facilitation and Program Support
- Facilitate The Incredible Years and Motherhood groups utilizing curriculums.
- Maintain accurate records, case notes, and documentation as required by the programs.
- Collect data for monthly and quarterly program reports.
Scheduling and Coordination
- Organize individual schedules, paperwork, and program materials.
- Schedule and confirm appointments with families.
- Maintain flexibility for non-traditional hours, including evenings and some weekends.
Collaboration and Professional Development
- Work as a team member in a shared office environment.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as assigned.
Advocacy and Support
- Testify in court regarding client participation and progress when needed.
- Maintain a non-judgmental attitude and confidentiality in all interactions.
Skills and Requirements
- Completion of The Incredible Years Evidence-Based Parenting Program Training and Motherhood Facilitation Training.
- Group facilitation experience, preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of child and family development, including non-traditional family systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and program-specific databases.
- Familiarity with local service agencies.
- Valid PA driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
- Ability to prioritize, work independently, and demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
Additional Information
- Must pass all required background checks (criminal, child abuse, and FBI fingerprinting)
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines.
- Will at times be responsible for operating Erie Family Center vehicles as needed.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Executive Director or program supervisor.
