Essential Functions
- Serve as EFCU's Mortgage Consultation Coordinator.
- Greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union in a professional manner. Represent credit union to members in a courteous manner following the credit union's Member Service Standards and provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service during each member interaction.
- Maintain proper log of all visitors to facility according to Erie Federal Credit Union Physical Security Guidelines Policy.
- Provide members with information on available mortgage lending products and services via phone, email, mail and in person by scheduling initial and follow up appointments.
- Assist all initial contact of all potential Mortgage Services Department leads sent through the Mortgage Consultation Service Session and the Mortgage Consultation Forum inquiries.
- Maintain and coordinate the Mortgage Consultation Service Session pipeline, to ensure all Mortgage Leads are properly delegated to the appropriate venue for the lead.
- Review and manage existing application pipeline on daily basis or as needed.
- Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets for monthly, quarterly and yearly reports.
- Assist members with inquiries on EFCU general products.
- Assist members and real estate professionals with the initial mortgage loan application process to ensure completeness of information.
- Review real estate collateral needs and payment plans for members applying for loans.
- Assist in intake of outstanding documentation and verification from borrowers ensuring all documentation provided meet requested requirements.
- Cross-sell credit union products and services.
- Meet established EFCU Mortgage lending goals.
- Research and provide information to members on all existing mortgage products offered by EFCU/First Heritage Financial through initial Mortgage Consultation contact.
- Prepare Special and recurring reports relating to lending activity at the Credit Union.
- Maintain current knowledge of all Credit Union policies and procedures, including compliance with federal laws and regulations as set forth by the NCUA and other regulatory agencies.
- Resolve member and realtor issues and professionally manage daily mortgage consultation department needs/requests.

- Requires scheduling flexibility to accommodate after-hour availability for Real Estate events.
- Attend mortgage lending education events, realtor events and homebuying seminars as necessary.
- Continuing education to advance within the Mortgage Consultation department is encouraged.
- Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for communicating with members, co-workers and other individuals involved in the mortgage lending process.
- Maintain current knowledge of all Credit Union policies and procedures, including compliance with federal laws and regulations as set forth by the NCUA and other regulatory agencies.
- Requires knowledge of the Credit Union products and services.
- Requires thorough knowledge of the Credit Union's lending mortgage functions.
- Requires knowledge of laws and regulations governing mortgage lending.
- Requires a self-sufficient, driven and independently motivated individual with strong time management skills.
- Requires completion of high school education or GED.
- One year of similar or related experience preferred. Lending or services function of a financial institution preferred.
- One year of experience with EFCU is preferred. Must be extremely proficient with both Symitar and Synapsys.
- Must meet financial responsibility, character and general fitness of the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (S.A.F.E. Act).
- Requires PC proficiency and knowledge of Office Suite.
- Requires proficiency and knowledge in the credit union mortgage LOS system.
- Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.)
- Must meet all Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) Federal Registry requirements.
