A Day in the Life as an Onboarding Specialist:
- Own the Onboarding Process – Manage new hire tasks, including background checks, documentation, and job-specific supply orders.
- Enhance the New Hire Experience – Develop welcome touchpoints, engagement initiatives, and virtual meet-and-greets.
- Ensure Compliance – Maintain accurate documentation and adherence to company policies and federal/state regulations.
- Coordinate Orientation – Work with multiple departments to ensure new hires have the tools and information they need.
- Optimize and Improve – Identify ways to streamline and enhance onboarding through technology and data-driven insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in recruiting, HR operations, or onboarding.
- Proficiency in Paylocity or similar HRIS platforms.
- Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (onsite in Toledo).
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with reporting tools is a plus.
- A collaborative mindset in a fast-paced environment.
