Position Summary

As a Senior PPM Business Partner you will be responsible for providing direct support to the portfolio's by interpreting data to provide insights for informed decision-making and strategic alignment. In addition, the Sr. PPM Business Partner is responsible for working within the department to drive strategy and outcomes.

Partners with the Information Technology Division and business leadership to support information technology efforts for the benefit of the enterprise. Drives transformational change of high complexity by providing actionable recommendations that affect critical enterprise initiatives, operational strategy and technical processes. Implements Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) changes that will impact a significant number of stakeholders across the organization and will present challenges in complexity or deadlines. Also provides support for portfolio management activities including planning, analyzing, reporting and change management.

May perform duties in one or more of the following disciplines: 1. Data/Finance 2. Organizational Change Management 3. Portfolio, Program, and Project Management 4. Research and Development 5. Process Management 6. Resource Management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyzes business processes with a high impact for stakeholders.
  • Conducts research, generates comparisons, draws conclusions, makes actionable recommendations, and validates solutions to effect transformational change for the highest level and most complex enterprise and operational initiatives, and/or technical processes. Leads the execution and implementation of solutions that affect business or technical processes with high impact for stakeholders. Ensures actions are aligned to enterprise strategies; provides insight to assist in business or technical direction.
  • Develops and implements processes, policies and controls for portfolio, program, and project management.
  • Analyzes the Enterprise Portfolio for risks and improvement opportunities. Advises ERIE leaders on Enterprise Portfolio improvement opportunities, risks, and issues
  • Coaches program and project managers on improvement opportunities; assists in issue escalation and resolution activities.
  • Collaborates across multiple teams to drive analysis management processes (i.e. business, quality, experience, system). May serve as a discipline lead and participate in steering committees.
  • Provides project management practice, discipline, and technical guidance; develops and maintains relationships with other practitioners and leads in order to ensure consistency.
  • Assists in training and development of less experienced staff, including those new to role. Serves as a resource to other section Employees and the project management community.
  • Communicates with customers, team members or other stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Project Management, Business or related required; or
  • Associate degree in a technical or business field plus two years of related experience required; or
  • High school diploma plus four years of related experience required.

Additional Experience

  • Five additional years of experience analyzing and designing business processes required.
  • Hands-on experience managing projects strongly preferred.

Designations and/or Licenses

  • CAPM, PMP, PgMP, or LSS Green Belt certification preferred.
