What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cleanup crew - Housekeeping and Groundskeeper position at Erie KOA Holiday?
Outdoor Clean-Up Crew: Consists of raking leaves, picking up brush, picking up trash, shoveling debris, general cleaning, help move recreational equipment, load & move tables chairs and grills, and painting. Some work may require running outdoor light/heavy equipment, such as garden tractor, tractor, leaf vacuum, leaf blower, golf cart, weed trimmer, garden sheers, etc... Some heavy lifting may be required. Scheduled times and days are a semi-flexible, but because the work requires daylight, 9-6:30pm are the hours available to work on any of the days between April 3rd and April 18th.
Housekeeping Clean-Up Crew: Consists of deep cleaning cabins, restrooms, store recreational room & other buildings. Work does require using a provided golf cart for transportation and carrying supplies. Some heavy lifting is required like lifting mattresses, carry cleaning supplies, moving furniture, etc... Scheduled times and days are semi-flexible between April 7th and April 30th.
The pay is $12.00 per hour, no deductions and is for 50 hours of work maximum as a sub-contractor.
You are being hired as sub-contractors, so you are responsible for reporting your income.
Work will begin Monday morning on April 7th and will continue until opening day April 18th or when you reach your maximum 50 hours. Housekeeping cleaning will continue past April 14th until everything is deep cleaned or you reach your maximum 50 hours. Pay checks are handed out weekly on Monday afternoons by check, based off the hours worked Monday thru Sunday of the previous week.
In case of rain or snow, the work may be delayed on a day-by-day basis until the weather permits.
You will probably get dirty, so for your benefit and safety, you must wear work boots, work gloves and old cloths. Bring cold/wet weather gear because you may be working in light weather conditions.
After work is completed or you reach you maximum hours, you may enjoy the outdoors so much, that you want to stay on and work as a member of our team.
We are currently hiring for seasonal part-time and full-time positions and our camping season is from mid-April to mid-October.
