HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST (FULL TIME) - Pay based on education & experience.
Position Summary: Under the supervision of Executive Director of Human Resources, the HR Assistant will serve as the initial contact of the Human Resources Department. The employee will work collaboratively with the other members of the Human Resources Department to achieve stated goals.
Term of Employment: 12 Months, 260 Days
Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Salary: $39,900
Reporting Relationship: Executive Director of Human Resources
Qualifications:
o 3-5 years Human Resource Office experience
o Proficient in typing and Microsoft office-Word, Excel, Outlook,
o Experience in an educational environment preferred
Knowledge of:
o HR practices including
o Handling of confidential, sensitive information
o General Educational requirements
Demonstrated Skill in:
o Working collaboratively with department to accomplish goals
o Communicating effectively with customers, internally and externally
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide high level front line customer service via telephone and in person to internal and external customers
- Prepare and monitor unemployment claims
- Generate employee ID badges
- Complete employment verifications
- Maintain records room
- Maintain personnel files for all employees and update changes and manage filing
- Assist with various mailings utilizing mail merge
- Process retirements and resignations and assist employees through the process
- Process incoming mail
- Maintain third party paperwork and ensure compliance
- Obtain all necessary coach paperwork and maintain
- Process Act 48 uploads
- Manage and track Act 168 paperwork
- Perform functions confidentially, accurately and with minimum need for supervision.
- Provide back up and assistance to other members of the HR Department
- Assist with job postings
- Performs other related duties as assigned
