About the Role:
The Finance Analyst will provide analytical support and recommendations to improve business decision making for supported units.
Responsibilities:
- Lead annual budget processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational plans
- Support forecasting process by gathering various data sets, analyzing trends, analyzing variances and current performance metrics
- Review and analyze monthly financial statements and reports to understand variances against the forecast to understand the company's financial status
- Build reporting to track forecast accuracy within the P&L, Balance Sheet, Working Capital, and Operating Cash Flow segments and provide insight on areas of improvement
- Build dashboards to report financial KPI's to help drive improvements within the business
- Develop predictive financial models to support organizational decision making
- Ad hoc analysis and reporting
- BSc/BA in finance, data science or relevant field is preferred
- 2 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Proven work experience in financial and data analysis
- Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications (e.g. JD Edwards E1)
- Knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, forecasting, reporting, data analysis etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Handle sensitive information discreetly
- Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
- Ability to present financial information to a non- financial audience
- Advanced Excel skills and knowledge and experience working with PowerBI or another data visualization software is a plus
- Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL is a plus
