Warehouse Processing Lead
Reports To : Warehouse / Assistant Warehouse Manager
Summary
Under general supervision of Warehouse Managment, the Warehouse Processing Lead is responsible for the on-time coordination and completion of daily purchase order processing, stock picking, and inventory storage to Erik's quality standards.
Position Details
The primary responsibilities and areas of impact of this position include, but are not limited to :
Shipping and Receiving
Complete daily inbound receiving / order processing and additional projects as instructed by Warehouse Management in accordance with the order priority guidelines to Erik's quality standards
Assist Drivers with loading and unloading of shipments and / or transfers.
Responsible for the security of inventory and warehouse facility in accordance with Erik's guidelines as directed by the VP of Operations.
Maintain appropriate communication with the Purchasing Team using the RMS email functions to facilitate on-time order processing
Participate in shift opening and closing meetings daily
Submit a daily receiving checklist to Warehouse Management
Post Receiving Logs in RMS system with Warehouse Management at the end of each shift, provide a brief summary of RLs.
Assist with order picking and inventory stocking as needed
Assist with inbound freight offloading as needed
Personnel
Lead Warehouse Processors to accomplish daily shift goals on-time, to Erik's Distribution Mission standards
Report unacceptable performance, areas of needed improvement, and violations of Erik's policy or instances of commendable or exemplary performance by Processors to Warehouse Management daily.
Coordinate plans for special receiving projects and labor needs with Warehouse Management to meet business goals
Other Job Functions :
Performs related work as directed by Warehouse Management
Maintain current personal equipment certifications and driving eligibility
Position Requirements
Experience
Erik's Distribution experience as a processor, laborer, or trucking staff member or industry equivalent.
Erik's Retail experience also considered.
Skills
High School diploma or GED.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
Experience with Erik's RMS system preferred.
Ability to Lead Warehouse Processors.
Prioritization, time management, and problem solving abilities.
Knowledge of light equipment and maintenance.
Shift flexibility. Early mornings, nights, weekends, and short-notice overtime required .
Dedication to get the job done.
Ability to work in a high production distribution facility that is constantly adapting to retail business needs.
Ability to become certified and maintain certification on all Erik's lift equipment.
Working Conditions
Ability to be mobile and stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
Ability to lift 75 lbs. overhead repeatedly
Exposure to various chemicals such as grease, cleaning solutions, and ski / snowboard cleaning and waxing agents.
Ability to work in an enclosed warehouse work environment with limited temperature control (cool in the winter, hot in the summer)
