As a Warehouse Associate, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Operations and Production teams by managing inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining organized and efficient storage systems, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with food safety standards. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, safety, resiliency and teamwork are essential.
Receiving and Unloading:
- Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Process receiving documentation and reporting any damage or discrepancies promptly.
- Sort and place materials and products in designated storage areas.
Storage and Organization:
- Maintain an organized and accessible warehouse layout, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety regulations.
- Reorganize inventory as needed based on operational priorities.
- Perform stock rotation according to company policies to preserve product quality.
Order Fulfillment and Shipping:
- Pick, prepare, and stage outgoing orders, ensuring proper labeling, wrapping, and accuracy.
- Verify order completeness and condition prior to shipping.
- Complete and manage shipping paperwork, including BOLs, packing lists, and customer-specific documents.
- Load pallets onto into vans, trailers, and containers with care and precision.
Maintenance and Safety:
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including GMPs, SOPs, and GFSI food safety standards.
Collaboration & Improvement:
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying and implementing process enhancements.
- Work closely with teammates and cross-functional departments to support smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven warehouse experience and certification or demonstrated ability to operate a stand-up forklift.
- Capable of lifting and moving items up to 75 lbs.
- Strong basic math and reading skills for inventory counting and verification.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment.
- A positive, “happy to help” attitude and willingness to support colleagues across departments.
- Strong communication skills & coachability.
- Experience with inventory management systems and RF scanners is a plus.
This position reports daily to the Warehouse Lead and the Purchasing & Logistics Manager.
