Golf Hospitality Internship
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Golf Hospitality Intern. This internship will provide the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all areas of daily operation, including initial reservations, registering for play, administering on course play, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet overnight guests, assisting with luggage and valet service
• Assist golfing guests with golf bags, caddies, directions & parking
• Manage the Practice facility and the Drumlin putting course
• Move & track luggage for overnight guests - arriving and departing
• Maintain locker rooms on property
• Prepare guest's luggage, golf clubs, and vehicles for departure
• Other tasks defined in golf operations handbook and by MOD
Reservations:
• Answer incoming calls and assist with reservations, confirmations, room needs requests, and questions
• Understand and communicate the history, products, and services of the golf course
• Sell, process, and confirm room reservations using selling techniques and strategies
• Answer incoming calls within three rings with an appropriate greeting
• Maintain knowledge of current course events, activities, and hours of operation as well as dining options available
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in the golf course or club industry (preferred) or completed/enrolled in an accredited hospitality or PGM program
• Previous golf management software and operating a POS system (preferred)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a daily basis
• Ability to stand up to 8 hours a day
• Ability to work productively at a desk/computer for 8 hours a day
