PRN Medical Receptionist

Erlanger Express Care is a full-service, private practice located in Chattanooga, TN. We are a dynamic team of experienced professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional care for our patients. We have clinics in Cleveland, Hixson, Downtown Chattanooga, East Brainerd, and Ringgold. PRNs are expected to be able to travel to some or all locations as needed.

We are looking for a PRN Medical Receptionist to join our team! You will be responsible for greeting patients and scheduling their appointments. You will be the first point of contact for our patients.

Pay: Based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and schedule their appointments
• Answer incoming calls and transfer them to appropriate staff members
• Check patient in and out
• Check patient out, collect payments and complete paperwork
• Enter patient information into electronic medical records (EMR)
• Collect copays, coinsurances and payments from patients
• Issue receipts and bills
• Keep office clean and tidy at all times
• Update and maintain database as new staff are hired or changes were make in office procedures, services, or policies
• Update and maintain office policies as needed by management or agency(s)
• Update and maintain office procedures as they change with the market or as required by state law

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred. Must have excellent communication skills, be able to multi-task, work independently, possess strong organizational skills, must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with staff, patients and visitors in a positive manner. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
