Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Inpatient Director, directs and coordinates the services of the C.T. Department. This includes performing a variety of procedures - CT scans, invasive procedures, post processing. The position requires independent judgment and initiative in utilization of computerized tomographic equipment to create high quality diagnostic images. Collaborates with Chief of Radiology on protocol development and communicates updates to all campuses.
Participates in Image Wisely � and dose reduction education.
Education:
Required: A graduate of an ARRT approved radiologic technology program.

Required: Five years hospital experience in CT Department

Department Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Inpatient Imaging Director, directs and coordinates the services of the C.T. Department. This includes performing a variety of procedures - CT scans, invasive procedures, post processing. The position requires independent judgment and initiative in utilization of computerized tomographic equipment to create high quality diagnostic images. The C.T. Team Leader is responsible for integration of this Radiology Section into the organization's primary function and coordination and integration of interdepartmental and intradepartmental services. Recommendations and input into the development of guidelines and procedures descriptions which guide and support the provision of services are also a part of the C.T. Team Leader's responsibilities. Other vital responsibilities include scheduling a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons for each shift to provide services/care, determination of the qualifications and competency of staff who provide patient care services, continuous assessment and improvement of performance of care and services provided, maintenance of Quality Control programs, as appropriate, orientation and continuing in-service education for staff, and recommendations for space and other resources as necessary. Extensive communication with Radiologists required.
The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's policies and procedures.
