Description
Job Summary:
Reporting to the PACS Supervisor, the PACS Desktop Technical supports Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and other imaging applications. The Desktop Technician role provides support and quality service to the Erlanger PACS community for Erlanger personal computing devices and peripherals. You will provide support for Erlanger PACS end user computing devices including desktops, laptops, tablets, and related imaging applications. Acts independently under general supervision, requiring minimal instruction and guidance. Responsible for collaborating independently with internal and external departments and serves as a technical resource. Exhibits knowledge and proficiency regarding overall imaging software functionality, technical / hardware skills, hardware support and integration. Assist in performing analysis, trouble shooting, data collection, and root cause analysis and assist in identifying and/or implementing potential solutions for issues related to the system or usage of it. This position will also act as a liaison in digital imaging display initiatives within the department and throughout the organization. The position is responsible for daily operation of PACS workstations. This individual will work with other PACS Administrators to ensure sound operation of PACS. This individual will support the software related to all PACS workstations in coordination with the IT support staff and other PACS Administrators. Support will also include CD burners, scanners and other peripheral hardware. Assist in identifying best practices and implements opportunities for standardization. Attains and maintains necessary certifications, as applicable, in a timely manner according to policy. This individual should have excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills along with highly effective written / verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Required: Proven ability to work well under pressure and on concurrent, multidisciplinary projects is necessary.
Preferred: Previous PACS technical support and Epic experience.

Education:
Required:
- High School Diploma and 7 years' experience in one or more of the following: Healthcare, IT, and/or PACS Operational experience.
- Associate's degree and 5 years' experience in a healthcare related setting including Healthcare, IT Support and/or PACS Operational experience.
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years' experience in one or more of the following: Healthcare, IT Support and/or PACS Operational experience.
Experience:
