Summary
ERMC is seeking an experienced Aviation Security Manager to organize and assist with management of aviation security operations within the Company. This position will be essential in supporting regulatory and Company security policies, and will frequently interact with internal Leaders and various external airline representatives and government agencies within the scope of the position. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of pertinent aviation security regulations, specifically with regard to the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations. The candidate should possess a strong commitment to maintaining security rules and the operational knowledge to be able to read and understand a requirement, then implement operational processes to meet compliance standards.
Duties And Responsibilities
Work closely with Director (and SVP) on plan to transition to a more proactive organization
Assist station Leaders with investigation and submission of security reports, specifically determination of root cause and development of sustainable action plans to prevent repeat failures
Validate and spot check required internal testing performance, including GSC levels, internal cabin security self-testing, and internal passenger processing observations.
Coordinate activities with QA and Training departments to increase internal security training library, provide training oversight, and meet ISO/ISAGO certification requirements
Attend meetings with other managers to assist and inform of all security related issues being discussed (as requested).
Communicate security information for the system through participation in conference calls, webinars, printed and electronic security alerts, video, recorded messages, etc. to reach maximum number of personnel.
Compile Gensuite data for monthly Leadership meeting (ESRB)
Assist Director with projects as needed.
Meet with customer/airline representatives as needed for security related issues.
Travel to respond to emergency security incidents as directed by Director or requested by Operations team.
Travel
Travel (50%) to stations and meetings as approved by the Director, Aviation Security
Respond to critical security issues
Provide on-site support in high-activity locations and locations with poor security performance profiles
Visit stations for scheduled outreach and education opportunities
Attend on-site meetings as necessary (often with air carrier representatives and regulatory officials)
Responsible for timely submission and management of Company expense reports and adhering to travel budgets
Qualifications
Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals and groups with a variety of identities, cultures, and backgrounds, in an aviation environment
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Solid operational knowledge on the aviation lines of service provided by Unifi
Working knowledge of security regulations with focus on the aviation sector (e.g. TSA, CBP & FAA Regulations)
Ability to respond to critical security issues in a timely manner
Bi-lingual a plus
Proficiency in MS Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Gensuite.
Committed and reliable
Education: high school diploma or equivalent. Higher education and/or experience in security management or a similar field is a plus.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Must possess a Government ID and social security card.
Must be able to obtain and keep an airport security badge.
Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation.
Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces
Able to receive appropriate security clearances after satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs.
