Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Standard qualifications:

- Must be able to obtain and keep an airport security badge.
- Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation.
- Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces
- Able to receive appropriate security clearances after completing a criminal background check.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Troubleshoot repairs
- First responder to various system alarms, including Bag Jams, motor overloads, bag tracking faults, etc.
- Cleaning of the shop, control room, and BHS assets.
- Realignment of baggage on the BHS.
- Monitor and use a system overview screen (HMI) to detect problems.
- Assist in repairs of BHS and its components as directed by the team leader or BHS manager to develop mechanical/electrical skills, which will provide an opportunity for a quality BHS performance and personal advancement.
- Able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Able to climb ladders and catwalks to access certain areas of the Baggage Handling System.
- Proficiency with both hand and power tools.
- Experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance is preferred.
