The Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in driving financial planning, forecasting, and decision support for the organization. This role involves advanced financial modeling, business performance analysis, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership. The analyst partners with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and enhancement of financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting for both short-term and long-range outlooks.
- Conduct in-depth variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for business improvement, capital investment, and strategic M&A.
- Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate financial performance effectively, and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Partner with business units to support capital investment analysis, profitability assessments, cost optimization and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Improve financial planning processes, increase efficiency, and implement best practices through automation of tools and systems.
- Ensure data accuracy, compliance with financial policies, and alignment with corporate objectives.
- Lead ad-hoc projects related to strategic initiatives, and internal and external business growth priorities.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Five or more years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or related field.
- Advanced level financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in financial planning systems, ERP tools, and data visualization platforms.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial principles, and business performance metrics.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex financial data clearly and with strong recommendations.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- MBA, CFA, CPA, or other relevant professional certification.
- Experience with financial planning tools such as SAP, Infor, Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, or similar.
- Experience with data analytics, risk modeling, and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, Alteryx, Crystal Ball or similar.
- Background in manufacturing, industrial, or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of capital budgeting, cost accounting, and scenario analysis.
- Primarily an office environment with standard business hours.
- Occasional travel may be required for business meetings and conferences.
