Job Duties

● Provide scheduling/ project reports to Project Manager.
● Assigning project tasks to the appropriate members of the project team.
● Consult with contractors regarding any recommendations/ observations on issues that fall under the UPDES permit.
● Act as support for the Project Manager.
Expectations
● Create, implement and maintain a proper procedure for corrective action items. This process needs to be accessible for upper management to review and follow the outcome of the tasks.
● Proper escalation techniques are used for following up on tasks such as state or MS4 responses, corrective action item work, NOI Renewals and NOT’s and other miscellaneous client interface work.
● Creating and enforcing lower level inspector QC inspection forms to ensure the consistency of the findings on site and verifying that they are doing the outreach to the clients regarding site conditions.
● Creating and implementing a quality control check for site visits to ensure your inspectors are meeting internal and permit standards.
● Updating weekly at a glance sheets every Monday by the end of day.
● Updating monthly job cost numbers at the end of every month.
● Formulate and execute a response to MS4 and State inspection findings in the appropriate time frame
○ Responding to the appropriate party that sent the inspection report within 24 hours
○ Passing information to the client should be done within 24 hours
○ Taking care of the corrective action items should be first on the agenda, once a plan is in place to do the corrective action items, we should email the appropriate party (MS4’s, DEQ, and the client). We would like this to happen as soon as possible. The timeframe that this should be executed will be issued by the designated enforcing party.
● Lead both the inspection review meeting and the scheduling meeting.
● Become a subject matter expert for all permits within the UPDES system.
● Familiarize yourself with the general permits associated with out of state projects.
● Amend SWPPP within 3-7 days of findings and fill out the appropriate log showing our amendments.
● Proposing additional training methods and courses to higher management, providing both verbal and written warnings and may lead to writing up your inspectors for any misconduct or complacency.
● Weather events:
○ Weather monitoring 24 hours prior to any snow or sleet events
○ Organizing and assigning routes out prior to inspectors start time and
communicating the route changes in a timely manner.
○ Weather event inspections must be done within 24 hours of rainfall that meet the CGP requirements.
● Re-evaluate inspection routes every time a project is added/ NOT’s to ensure our routes are effective and efficient.
● Be able to answer any questions upper management may have regarding individual projects
and the overall department.
● Utilize the executive summary in ComplianceGO to track missed inspections as well as other issues identified within the summary.
● Being open to change within the department and other tasks relevant to the department.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
