Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior CAD Designer to join our innovative team in Orlando, FL. This role is integral to supporting the planning and design of civil engineering efforts for both federal and private land development initiatives. You’ll collaborate with a skilled team of civil engineers on impactful projects across various sectors, gaining exposure to diverse challenges and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage technical resources, including reports, maps, aerial imagery, and engineering data, to evaluate terrain, hydrology, soil composition, and other factors critical to project planning and design.
- Partner with Project Engineers to create detailed planning and design documents for land development and infrastructure projects using advanced software tools such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Conduct zoning analyses and feasibility studies to support development objectives.
- Provide field inspection services to ensure project alignment with plans, as needed.
- Draft and review technical documents, including feasibility studies, stormwater management reports, utility plans, and technical specifications.
- Professionally engage with clients and subcontractors under the guidance of supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Take on additional responsibilities as required to support project success and team efficiency.
