What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer/Plant Engineer position at Ervin Industries?
Position Reports To : Plant Manager
Job Description : Hands on engineering role, routinely on the factory floor working with existing / new manufacturing processes. Develop and implement safe, optimal, and cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, procure, and test various tooling / fixtures, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment, processes, and quality issues.
- Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings, equipment and processes.
- Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new / revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
- Apply statistical methods and perform product / process analysis for quality improvement, cost reduction, and improved efficiency.
- Research and develop manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
