Position Reports To : Plant Manager
Job Description : Hands on management role, routinely on the factory floor. Manage all production activities of a product segment from raw material to finished goods. Responsible for safety, product quality, production efficiencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Weekly inventories and production reporting
- Production planning, manpower plans, and product cost review.
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment, processes, and quality issues.
- Supervise, mentor, train 3 team leaders.
- Develop, suggest, and direct improvements
RECOMMENDED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or technical program or equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experienceMinimum of 2 years related experienceAbility to develop teamwork and advance employee development.Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, time management, and communication skillsDemonstrated progression of responsibility in supervisory and leadership positionsExperience in progressive production techniques, root cause analysis, and procedures (ISO, SPC, etc.)Knowledge of equipment maintenance, diagnostic and repair techniques / systemsExperience / working knowledge in production planning, scheduling, and ERP / MRPAbove average knowledge of Microsoft excel.Ability to identify the big picture in all components of decision makingWillingness to be hands on with the production process when neededPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Able to lift 100 lbsStanding, walking while performing dutiesOccasionally required to climb, stoop, or kneel.WORKING SCHEDULE :
7 am - 4 pmOvertime and weekends as required.COMPENSATION :
