**Job Description:**
The Senior Electrical Systems Specialist will work closely within the Engineering Department to enhance production equipment, plan and implement capital projects, and adhere to applicable environmental and safety regulations.
**Primary Responsibilities:
- Understand plant production equipment and plant power systems
- Update or create electrical drawings and schematics
- Maintain compliance with electrical rules relevant to local, state, and federal regulations
- Plan, budget, and prepare new control equipment installations
- Work with IT and outside vendors programming PLCs, application software
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
- Educated in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience
- Experience with motor control systems, including DC motors, AC motors, and VFD controls
- Familiarity with 3-phase electrical circuits
- Experience with Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) control systems
- PLC programming, installation, and troubleshooting experience
- Computer skills include CAD and Microsoft platform
- Good verbal, written, and leadership skills
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and 14001 Management Systems desired
