Key Responsibilities :
Academic :
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons following the ES by ZUMA syllabus.
- Teach between 15 and 30 hours per week.
- Complete administrative tasks promptly, including attendance registers, records of work, weekly plans, student reports, and other necessary documentation.
- Assist in placement testing and induction of new students.
- Attend and actively participate in academic meetings.
- Support as an activity leader during excursions, ensuring educational objectives are met and students are engaged.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons in your care.
- Adhere to the ES by ZUMA Child Welfare & Safeguarding policy.
- Attend safeguarding training during induction.
- CELTA, Trinity TESOL, or equivalent certification.
- High level of computer literacy, particularly in MS Office, email, and database usage.
- Excellent lesson planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Capacity to remain calm under pressure.
- Enthusiasm for summer school life and working with diverse student populations.
- Legal right to work in the USA.
- Experience working in a summer school setting.
- Experience teaching young learners.
- Experience working with multinational student groups.
- Current valid First Aid certificate.
- Training in Child Protection and Safeguarding.
- Familiarity with British Council inspection standards.
