Job Description
The Bartender will be responsible for crafting and serving a diverse range of beverages, delivering exceptional guest service, and contributing to a vibrant atmosphere for our guests. You will play a key role in ensuring guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company recipes and standards.
- Greet guests warmly, take beverage orders, and provide recommendations based on guests’ preferences.
- Keep the bar area clean and organized, including washing glassware, cleaning up spills, and disposing of trash.
- Monitor bar inventory levels and communicate shortages to the Bar Manager. Assist with restocking and organizing supplies as needed.
- Accurately process cash and credit card transactions using the point-of-sale system. Ensure proper change and receipts are given.
- Adhere to all state and local laws regarding the sale and service of alcohol. Verify the age of customers to ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements.
- Work effectively with other team members, including servers and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth operations and a cohesive guest experience.
- Address and resolve guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally. Escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Assist with the set-up and execution of private events and special promotions as needed.
- Stay informed about new beverage trends and techniques to continually improve bartending skills.
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Required Skills
- Able to demonstrate strong verbal communication skills.
- Deliver exceptional guest services that consistently exceeds guest expectations.
- Able to take direction and work together as a team.
- Able to work calmly and execute job duties effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Exhibit hospitality-minded attitude; friendly, outgoing, and guest focused.
Education & Experience
- HS Diploma or GED certificate preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age / 21 years of age in OK, VA and NC.
- Food Handler and state alcohol certificate required.
- Previous high volume bartending experience preferred.
- Availability to work during holidays, nights, and weekends with increased hours during peak times.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to work in an environment with loud noise, flashing lights and repetitive motions.
