Job Description:
TITLE: Distribution Lead
Position Summary:
Maintains and coordinates ship confirmation, packing and order-picking activities in the Distribution Center.
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Personal computer skills – SAP, Microsoft Office
- Knowledge and experience with RF guns required
- Heavy order fulfillment experience required
- Forklift experience preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills
- Prior experience in a leadership role, with the ability to delegate tasks effectively
- Ability to give directions to other associates on work tasks
- Ability to train and mentor staff
- Capable of working required overtime
- Ability to apply and use required forces (i.e.: 60 lbs. of material lifting)
- Strong attendance, attitude, and productivity record
Responsibilities:
- Load LTL trucks efficiently
- Processing of documents and ship confirmations (i.e.: packing slips, bills of lading)
- Operate multiple (reach truck, order picker, electric pallet jack, dock stocker)
- Pulling and packing of customer orders
- Banding pallets
- Processing bill of lading
- Consolidation of PID’s
- Picking and shipping HAZMAT
- Troubleshoot HAZMAT issues
- Delegate tasks
- Coordinate workflow for department
- Create and report metrics/KPI’s
- Train new associates
- Promote safety objectives
- Conduct team meetings, communicating daily goals to associates
- Utilize product knowledge to ensure accurate order fulfillment and escalate issues as needed
- Work efficiently to attain goals
- Follow regulatory agencies (FDA, UL or ISO) standards or policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Language Capabilities
- Fluent in English (read, write, speak)
Education Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
Technical Requirements
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Personal computer skills – SAP, Microsoft Office
- Must be willing to operate forklift equipment, working at heights of 30 feet
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership capability
- Ability to give directions to other associates on work tasks
- Ability to train and mentor staff
- Capable of working required overtime
- Ability to apply and use required forces (i.e.: 60 lbs. of material lifting) repetitively
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs of product on a regular basis, as required by the position
- Excellent work record (i.e.: Attendance, Attitude and Productivity)
