Inventory Control Manager

We’re looking to hire a talented Inventory Control Manager based in Hanover, PA.
Reporting to the Plant Manager the Inventory Control Manager is responsible for the inventory control of the Hanover manufacturing location which includes receiving of goods, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining inventory locations both physical location and in SAP. This role leads the receiving operations, material handlers, and cycle counters.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving Operations:
- Responsible for the Safety of the employees and environmental regulations of material control
- Need efficiency of OT of the people and process
- Oversee the receipt of all unfinished / finished goods, verify quantities and quality against purchase orders.
- Ensure all incoming shipments are properly documented and inspected for discrepancies or damages
- Ensure timely processing of QM lot material
- Ensure FIFO methodologies are used on needed areas.
- Ensure hazard locations are maintained
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems
- Develop KPIs to monitor and improve the production variances and efficiency
- Using the inventory management systems determine optimal controls
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy
- Determine root cause and implement corrective actions
- Work closely with quality and operational team to ensure scrap is documented effectively
- This position is responsible for the physical inventory flow inside of the plant to reduce walk time and material movement
- Develop and enforce inventory control policies and procedures
- Lead Annual Physical Inventory to minimize variance
Stock Control and Optimization:
- Optimization of inventory locations and control
- Implement best practices for efficient warehouse organization and storage
- Implement best practices to improve inventory accuracy and reduce waste.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to inventory and receiving.
- Maintain detailed records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments
- Generate reports on inventory status, discrepancies, and process improvements.
Team Management and Training:
- Supervise and train warehouse and receiving staff on inventory procedures
- Develop standard operating procedures for receiving and inventory control
- Foster of culture of accountability an accuracy within the team
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in inventory control, cycle count experience, warehouse management, or receiving operations.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP system, cycle count, and data analytics tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Working Conditions
- Remains in a stationary position 50% of the time and involves additional physical demands such as ascending/descending stairs, walking stooping and standing.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment ‘PPE’ when working/visiting manufacturing and plant locations.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery including but not limited to printer, tablets, cell phones.
- Moves transports, puts, or removes equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.; pushes, pulls products weighing up to 200 lbs. using provided safety tools.
- May be exposed to varying weather during travel.
Pay Range:
$104,567.00-$121,981.00Salary : $104,567 - $121,981
