Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer
Location: Sunrise, FL (Onsite 3 days per week - This is a MUST)
Start Date: 2 weeks from offer
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage applications and infrastructure on the AWS platform.
- Work extensively with AWS services, including EKS, ECS, EC2, Lambda, VPC networking, and IAM.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in cloud environments.
- Manage ingress and egress traffic flow, AWS security groups, and service discovery.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
- Implement and manage service mesh technologies (Istio, Envoy) and patterns like sidecar architecture.
- Design and implement REST APIs following best practices.
- Develop and deploy applications using Node.js or Java.
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement DevOps best practices and observability solutions.
- Ensure API design, security, and workload isolation in distributed systems.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with multi-cloud strategies (GCP) and on-premises to cloud migration.
- Knowledge of serverless architectures beyond AWS Lambda.
Qualifications:
- Strong AWS expertise, particularly in EKS, ECS, EC2, Lambda, VPC networking, and IAM.
- Proven experience in software development, ideally with Java.
- Architecture experience is required.
- Experience deploying and managing containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes) in cloud environments.
- Understanding of ingress and egress traffic flow, AWS security groups, and service discovery.
- Proficiency in Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.
- Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Envoy) and patterns like sidecar architecture.
- Solid understanding of REST API design and best practices.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying Node.js or Java based applications
- Strong grasp of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps best practices, and observability.
- Understanding of API design, security, and workload isolation in distributed systems.
- Must be able to work onsite in Sunrise, FL, 3 days a week.
