Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of students, teachers and staff
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and maintain curriculum standards and set performance goals and objectives
- Work with teachers to ensure classroom units and lessons are aligned to standards
- Create benchmarks for students and teachers and track progress towards goals
- Maintain knowledge of state and federal educational policies
- Respond immediately to concerns from parents, Superintendent, and school board administrators
- Provide leadership for teachers and staff
- Manage logistics, schedules, teacher and staff evaluations, and public relations
- Sit in on classes, host school assemblies, attend off-site meetings and represent the school at conferences and events
- Present reports, documents and other findings related to the management and success of your school to the Superintendent on a regular basis
- Counsel and provide guidance to students regarding personal, academic, vocational, or behavioral issues
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff
- Facilitate optimal utilization of teachers and staff within the school
- Consult with parents and staff to discuss educational activities, policies, and student behavior and/ or learning problems
- Enforce and handle discipline and attendance issues
- Plan and lead professional development activities for teachers, administrators, and support staff
- Participate in special education-related activities, such as attending meetings and providing support to special educators throughout the district
- Determine the scope of educational program offerings and prepare drafts of course schedules and descriptions to estimate staffing and facility requirements
- Prepare and submit budget requests and recommendations
- Review and approve new programs, or recommend modifications to existing programs
- Develop and maintain partnerships with businesses, communities, and other organizations to help meet identified educational needs and to provide school-to-work programs
- Direct school maintenance services and the use of school facilities to the appropriate personnel
- Organize and direct committees to provide technical and advisory assistance for programs
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee school logistics programs, such as bus and food services
- Ensure school follows regulations set by local, state and federal authorities
Outcomes: This position will be evaluated, in part, based on the following outcomes:

- Execution and completion of all responsibilities related to the position and other responsibilities as assigned
- Completion of projects in a timely manner, and acceptable resolution of project related issues
- Feedback from school leadership, teachers, students, parents, and other school employees
Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Educational Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a school or related setting, demonstrating progression of added responsibility in administration and/or supervision or teacher coaching
- Experience working with students, families, and staff from various cultural backgrounds
- Experience planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing varied and extensive major instructional programs that set high standards for all students
- Experience with Learning Management System (Schoology), Google Apps, Zoom, Powerschool; Online meetings, iPad Apps
