The Superintendent Search
Marysville Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Superintendent. The Board of Education seeks an effective and experienced leader in education and administration. It is preferred that the new Superintendent will begin August 1, 2025.

About the Marysville Schools
Marysville Schools, as we prefer to call ourselves, is a growing school district located about 20 miles Northwest of Columbus, Ohio. The district has over 5,600 students consisting of five elementary schools (K-4), one intermediate school (5-6), one middle school (7-8), one high school (9-12), and one STEM early college high school (9-12). Our schools employ over 350 teachers and 250 support staff, such as maintenance, custodians, secretaries, aides, food service personnel, bus drivers, School Age Child Care (SACC), etc.

Leadership Criteria & Qualifications/Responsibilities
Our Superintendent shall be able to demonstrate the following:
- Strong spokesperson with interpersonal skills who can publicly celebrate and market the successes of the school district, serve as a student advocate, and instill trust and unity in the community/staff at all levels by being approachable and collaborative.
- Chief executive who will keep the Board fully informed and current with matters about the schools, one who can forge a strong partnership based on mutual trust and respect and can unify district leadership.
- Visionary and innovative skills along with an ability to create and implement our vision with input from internal and external stakeholders and implement action plans for ongoing district improvement.
- Decisive and innovative educational leader with a strong background in student achievement and financial management.
- Educational team leader who can attract, develop, supervise, and support teaching and administrative talent, who inspires high-performance standards with accountability, and finds satisfaction in the success of others.
- Successful administrative experience is required.
- Willingness to become an active and contributing member of the school community and be comfortable with high visibility in schools and the community while being accessible.
Terms of Employment and Compensation
The Board will provide a competitive and negotiable compensation package. A multi-year contract with provisions for annual review and evaluation will be offered. The actual salary and benefits will be commensurate with the education and experience of the candidate.
