Minimum Qualifications:

Superintendent in Residence at the ESC of Central Ohio
Job Objectives:
The role includes supervising and assessing the performance of Teacher Apprentices completing the On The Job Training (OJT) requirements of the Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

- Strong knowledge of and experience with special education and the responsibilities of an Intervention Specialist (IS)
- Current license as an IS
- Admin license preferred but not required
- Ability to drive to different locations to work directly with teacher apprentices

- Work with the Superintendent in Residence to design the assessment system for the training program based on the Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession.
- Monitor and assess the performance of teacher apprentices during the OJT component of the apprenticeship program.
- Coordinate OJT related activities with apprentices and classroom teachers.
- Coordinate field-based experiences that are required by education program providers in their course work.
- Provide training and support for Teacher Mentors.
- Support the maintenance of OJT records for reporting purposes.
