Position: HS Family and Consumer Science Teacher
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and Valid OH teaching certificate/license or must be in the
process of obtaining a valid OH teaching certificate/license in subject area to be taught
Ideal candidate will meet the following:
? Teaches content and skills in Family & Consumer Science courses
? Instructs students in citizenship and college and career readiness
? Adapts Family & Consumer Science material and methods to develop relevant
sequential assignments and lesson plans that guide and challenge students.
? Develops lesson plans and supplementary materials compatible with the division’s
basic instructional philosophy and congruent with course standards; provides
individualized and small group instruction
? Evaluates each student’s progress in meeting the course standards for Family &
Consumer Science skills
? Differentiated instructional techniques to effectively advance student learning
? Uses formal and informal assessment strategies to monitor student progress
? Provides effective feedback to students
? Evaluates student achievement/performance
? Regularly communicates academic, behavioral and social-emotional related matters to
parents
? Employs a variety of instructional techniques, instructional media, and performance
? assessments, which guide the learning process towards academic achievement and
? curriculum standards.
? Knowledge of Google Classroom
Salary: As per negotiated salary schedule
