Transportation Supervisor

Qualifications/requirements (on file prior to beginning work):
1. Previous experience with school transportation
2. Knowledge of pupil transportation operations
3. Possess organizational skills, a high level of confidentiality and high performance
standards
4. Demonstrated qualities of leadership and the ability to deal with the public
5. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
6. Favorable BCI and FBI background check
7. Valid Ohio Driver’s License and Class B CDL, with S and P endorsements
8. Pass a T-8 physical required for school bus drivers
Ideal candidate will meet the following:
? Supervise day to day operation of the district transportation department, including drivers
? Work closely with district administration, including superintendent, treasurer, athletic
director and building principals
? Ability to supervise and maintain purchasing for department, T-reports, driver files,
physicals, driver training and bus fleet
? Maintain control, enforce regulations and safely transport authorized students to and from
bus stops, schools and extracurricular activities in accordance with the scheduled routes,
Ohio Revised Code regulations, Board of Education Policy and Administrative Guidelines
? Promptly manage delays and mechanical failures (Rule 3301-83-08 of Administrative Code)
? Ensure all drivers maintain daily pre-trip sheets regarding safety, operation and overall
condition of the bus (Rule 3301-83-11 of Administrative Code)
? Meet or exceed physical qualifications of Rule 3301-83-07 of the Administrative Code
? Meet or exceed OACC 3301-83-10 of the personnel training program
? Perform other duties as assigned by the superintendent and abide by all transportation
management policies under the Ohio Administrative Code 3301-83-08
Salary: As per negotiated salary schedule
