Education/Experience:
Bachelor Degree (required)
Master's Degree (required)
3 years successful classroom teaching experience (required)
2 or more years successful campus principal experience (required)
Central Office with supervisory experience (preferred)
Education Service Center experience coaching LEA Principals/Central Office Administrators preferred
Certification:
Texas Teacher Educator’s certification, required
Principals’ certification , required

Special Knowledge and Skills:
Depth of knowledge in leadership coaching, strategic planning at the systems level, and leading others through influence. Work may include supporting campus administrators and district administrators through capacity-building efforts.

Ensures LEAs meet the grant program requirements for the School Improvement Grant and/or the Effective Schools Framework Facilitation Grant

Cultivates relationships and designs professional learning for campus leaders and District Coordinators of School Improvement (DCSIs)
Ability to coach and support district and campus leaders in developing an improvement plan aligned to rigorous goals, and develops systems and structures to support the implementation of district and campus plans
In-depth knowledge of campus leaders’ roles as instructional leaders, including critical instructional leadership tasks such as observation/feedback cycles, data analysis, and professional development
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Working Conditions (Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors) Mental: Public relations and people skills are required at all times, work with frequent interruptions, and maintain professional composure under stress.
Physical: Occasional prolonged and irregular hours, ability to move tables and chairs and load and unload boxes/materials. Prolonged use of computer.
Environmental: Open cubicles/workstations.
Evaluation
Annual performance evaluation will be performed in accordance with adopted policies of the Education Service Center Region 11. Employment in this position is contingent on performance, need, and funding.
