What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time School Bus Driver Coordinator position at Esc Region 12?
Primary Purpose
To support the vision, mission, and strategic priorities of ESC Region 12. The person will coordinate all bus training and trainers in ESC Region 12.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory position in school transportation

General Responsibilities
- Coordinate and create off-site sessions for School Bus Driver certification and re-certification training.
- Process, verify, and return training session rosters to ESC Region 12
- Manage the processing of on-line Re-certification training
- Communicate with state officials for school transportation as required
- Research and provide information for school districts to maintain standards
- Issue and invoice participants/school districts for School Bus Driver Certification cards
- Maintain School Bus Driver certification database
- Host and work at the TAPT Regional and/or State Texas School Bus Safety Speech Contest
- Attend state and national conferences as required to maintain skills and knowledge.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise the operation and personnel of the School Bus Driver Certification training.
