Job Summary: The Data Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards to track district engagement within ESC departments and across the ESC as a whole. Using Looker Studio, the Specialist will collect, integrate, and analyze data to provide meaningful insights that support decision-making and strategic planning. This role also involves analyzing, reviewing, and revising software solutions, as well as developing routine code to enhance dashboard functionality. Additionally, the Specialist will train ESC staff on data input processes and the effective use of dashboards.
Qualifications:
Education/Training:
- Bachelor's Degree or required license
- Prefer a Master's Degree in a related field
Experience:
- At least 3 years of related experience.
- Experience with data visualization tools, including Looker Studio
- Experience in data analysis, research, compilation, and/or reporting work
- Proficiency with JavaScript

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Dashboard Development & Maintenance: Design and implement interactive dashboards in Looker Studio to visualize and track district engagement.
- Data Integration & Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources to ensure accurate and meaningful reporting.
- Software Evaluation & Development: Analyze, review, and revise software solutions to improve functionality and efficiency; develop routine code to support dashboard enhancements.
- Training & Support: Provide training and support to ESC staff on data entry processes and best practices for utilizing dashboards to inform decision-making.
- Collaboration & Optimization: Work closely with ESC departments to identify key metrics, optimize data tracking, and refine dashboard functionality based on user needs.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy, dashboard performance, and usability by troubleshooting issues and implementing necessary improvements.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
