What are the responsibilities and job description for the ELL Tutor position at ESC?
The Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio is seeking interested and qualified candidates for a part time qualified teacher/educator to teach English as a Second Language to Elementary through High School aged students for Wickliffe City Schools for the 2024-2025 school year.
The part time teaching assignment (2.5 days per week) may include direct instruction with students whose English is Limited, consult and collaboration with grade and department school building teachers, ability to work cooperatively in multiple school buildings, administration of English language screening tools, provide modifications for statewide assessments and strong communication to connect with parents/guardians.Major focus to deliver research based, effective instructional practices to positively impact student achievement in reading, writing and English language acquisition and acclimatization to the school community.
The position offers candidates a competitive salary and STRS compensation package.
Candidates must possess experience with ESL/ELL students and teaching English acquisition or be able to demonstrate a vast knowledge and the teaching skills needed to effectively work with students to acquire the English language and reading literacy.
