The Aurora City School Board of Education is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Treasurer. The Board seeks an outstanding administrator who will continue the focus on excellence, communications, trust, and transparency.
The Aurora School District is in Portage County with 2997 students in grades pre-K through 12. The district serves students through a preschool program, three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. Aurora is a top 10 academically performing district with high expectations and outstanding community support.

- Prior School Treasurer/CFO experience is preferred
- An excellent communicator- both verbal and written skills
- Holds a valid Ohio Treasurer’s License and understands Ohio school finance
- A collaborative and strategic leader
- Willingness to actively engage the community and various organizations
- Values teamwork
- Relationship builder who can build trust
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective interactions with the Board of Education, staff, students, parents, and the community
- Ability to foster and maintain an atmosphere of respect and trust.
ESC/Finding Leaders offers comprehensive support in planning, recruiting, and transitioning leadership, assisting in the creation of a leadership transition plan and guiding the board through candidate selection.
