What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrator for Adult Education and Literacy Program (AEL) position at ESC2?
Primary Purpose:
Provide administrative assistance to the Associate Director(s) assigned to the Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) Program and perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Executive Director within the framework of the philosophy and objectives established by Board policy, consistent with statutes and standards of regulatory agencies and in accordance with administrative regulations and procedures.
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor ́s degree (required)
Master ́s degree (required)
Experience:
- Experience working with adult learners
- Three years of experience supervising staff
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Experience working with local, state, and federal government agencies, and community partners preferred
- Experience managing multiple, simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment preferred
Program Management:
- Oversee the AEL grant program with the goal of increasing employment, postsecondary education and training transition, skill development, and secondary education completion through the implementation of an integrated system of services and leveraged community partnerships.
- Work with local education agencies (LEAs), the Texas Workforce Commission, and community and technical colleges to develop other career pathway program partnerships.
- Lead in the development of a rigorous instructional program for adult learners which meets the needs of the workforce in 21st century skills and college and career readiness.
- Participate in the selection of staff and development of staffing patterns that will build a highly qualified, diverse, and effective program
- Develop and manage assigned budgets
- Maintain documentation of grant activities to ensure compliance, and prepare program applications and reports
- Monitor program data
- Oversee development and implementation of program guidelines and protocol
- Conduct regularly scheduled site visits

support the AEL program

and project activities are met.
