What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Agent position at ESC2?
The Field Service Agent acts as liaison, ombudsman and advocate for local school districts in the relationship to the ESC 2 and the TEA. The agent´s primary objective is to provide timely, accurate, and consistent information and assistance between the TEA, ESC 2 and LEAs with the local district superintendent as the contact.
Education Qualifications:
- Master's degree in education or a related field; Doctorate preferred
- Valid Texas principal, mid-management, or superintendent certifications
- Certificate or other appropriate certificate/license
Experience:
- Five years in public schools, university, or other appropriate ESC experience
- Three years principal/administrative experience; Superintendent experience preferred
- Three years successful central office experience
Program Management:
- Participate in the coordination and planning with appropriate ESC 2 personnel and/or district representatives in meeting the specific needs of each district in the region
- Provide up-to-date information or training to local personnel regarding developments, initiatives, and priorities at the ESC 2 and state level
- Serve as liaison interface to obtain information from the ESC 2 and state level to clarify and/or address questions arising at the local level
- Provide and maintain required personal and program documentation in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Conduct personal visits and communicate regularly with districts and campuses to determine needs, become familiar with, and provide coordinated assistance
- Participate in required program meetings/trainings/events to meet program goals
