About the Company
Escalante Golf is a closely-held, boutique owner and operator of luxury golf properties across the country. The Company was established in 1991, and over the years, has successfully assembled a portfolio of some of the finest golf courses and private clubs in the United States. The Company has been in a growth mode for many years and expects continued growth in the foreseeable future.
This position will report directly to a Senior Accountant and be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple properties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day accounting operations (A/P & vendor management, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries and payroll entries)
- Accounts Payable can be further broken down to include:
- Review & approval in NetSuite of invoices entered at the property level
- Entry of invoices received at the home office or online. Primarily leases, Loans & utilities
- Follow up and replies to vendor emails & calls
- Reconciliation of vendor accounts/statements
- Helping facilitate timely payment processing of invoices approved for payment
- Bank Reconciliations are required to be performed daily:
- Review online transactions and clear them in NetSuite
- Manage outstanding and/or unreconciled items monthly (checks in transit/non-deposited cash)
- Payroll Entries are derived from the reports we pull from our 3rd party payroll provider.
- P&L Variance Analysis Reporting for month-end closing procedures.
- Assistance with year-end audit procedures & PBCs for our tax firm.
- Ad hoc projects including financial analysis, supporting accounting & finance operations at properties, opportunity to build custom reports and/or create efficiencies in month-end close cycle, etc.

Education/Experience
● Knowledge of GAAP and GL accounting principles, activities and processes
Other Skills
● PC literacy and proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, is required
● Proficiency with web browser and web-based accounting systems
● Ability to perform with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
● Ability to organize, prioritize and follow through with responsibilities
● Ability to multi-task to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment
● Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
● Strong analytical skills required to identify and resolve problems effectively
● Excellent verbal and written communication
