Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, including children, to and from designated locations while ensuring a positive and secure environment. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle various driving conditions.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a school bus or paratransit vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and mechanical integrity.
- Maintain a clean and organized bus interior for the comfort of passengers.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding transportation schedules and any changes.
- Assist children in boarding and disembarking from the bus, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Manage behavior on the bus to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all passengers.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with passengers, parents, and school personnel.
- Experience in school bus driving or paratransit services is preferred.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse populations.
- Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with passengers.
