The Endpoint Administrator is a pivotal role responsible for managing device deployments, software distribution, and system patching within the organization. Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Division Manager, the Endpoint Administrator uses strong technical skills in endpoint management and administration, along with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. The Endpoint Administrator plays a crucial role in maintaining the stability, security, and efficiency of our endpoint devices, contributing to the overall success of the IT infrastructure. Leveraging expertise in key technologies including MECP, Intune, Office 365, Azure, Mobile Device Management, and Endpoint Defender, this role ensures the smooth operation and security of our endpoint devices.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Collaborates with the IT Infrastructure and Enterprise Service Delivery divisions to develop and implement strategies for efficient device imaging deployments, software distribution, and system patching
Utilizes advanced tools such as MECP (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager), Intune, Office 365, Azure, Endpoint Defender, Mobile Device Management with Apple Business Manager, and Samsung Knox to manage and maintain endpoint devices across the organization
Oversees the distribution and installation of software applications and updates to endpoint devices, minimizing downtime and optimizing user experience
Implements, coordinates, and manages system patching policies and practices, ensuring timely application of security patches and updates to mitigate potential vulnerabilities
Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users for device-related issues, resolving issues promptly to minimize disruption to business operations
Collaborates with the IT Infrastructure and Enterprise Service Delivery team to implement and enforce security measures, ensuring endpoint devices are protected against threats and vulnerabilities
Stays informed about industry trends and best practices in endpoint management and security, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance our IT infrastructure
Maintains accurate system wide documentation and records of endpoint configurations, deployments, and patching activities
Assists with other IT Infrastructure and Enterprise Service Delivery projects and initiatives as assigned by the IT Infrastructure Supervisor
Performs other duties as assigned
TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Training and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related IT field and three years of related experience in information technology or a related IT field; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
Licenses and Certifications:
Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence
Must be able to acquire and maintain a CJIS certification, including comprehensive background checks and certification status of Level 4 Security Awareness Training, within 3 months of employment.
Preferred Qualification Requirements:
experience using and maintaining Teams, Office 365, SharePoint, Intune
experience with MECM, Intune, and Mobile Device Management
strong user skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
experience using the ITIL framework
knowledge of HIPAA and CJIS security requirements
certification by an industry recognized organization (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA)
