Lawyer Referral Service Team Member
POSITION SUMMARY: The Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association (ESRBA), located in downtown Pensacola, seeks a part-time team member for its lawyer referral service. The ESRBA’s Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) matches people in need of legal services with qualified attorneys. Candidates must have strong communication and listening skills as well as demonstrate empathy. Candidates for the position must also be computer literate and able to learn new software. The position reports directly to the executive director.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish customer service as a first priority
Assess the needs of potential clients and make referrals by matching the client’s needs with the practice areas of LRS participating attorneys
Return all calls and emails in a timely manner (24 hours excluding weekends)
Provide monthly LRS referral reports to attorneys who have been assigned cases.
Update referral cases status based on monthly report responses
Inform the executive director of any anticipated commissions
Provide LRS statistics and reports as needed
Be able to manage time self-audit work for accuracy

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Proficient in computer-based information systems, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Comfortable with learning new software and systems as needed and required
Excellent, professional verbal and written communication skills
Keen active listening skills required to accurately respond to inquiries, concerns, and requests
Attention to detail and ability to self-audit work
Ability to take guidance and work closely with staff and attorneys to maintain database accuracy and integrity
Ability to exercise discretion with confidential information
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, hospitality or a related degree from an accredited university preferred. An equivalent combination of education and customer service experience may be considered.

COMPENSATION AND HOURS:
15 hours per week. Hourly rate commensurate with experience. The executive director and the successful candidate will determine the schedule.
