The Escanaba Area Public School District seeks a qualified candidate for the following position:

 

Executive Assistant to the Athletic Director

 

Location: Escanaba Junior/Senior High School

Start Date: Immediate

Reports to: Athletic Director

Salary: Negotiable

Qualifications

  • Experience in a secretarial or administrative assistant role
  • Experience in an athletic or educational setting preferred
  • Experience managing events and coordinating logistics preferred
  • Experience working with high school students and their families preferred
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, Powerschool preferred

Job Description

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Athletics Department, handling phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries
  • Support the Athletic Director, and coaching staff to facilitate the smooth operation of the interscholastic athletics programs in the Escanaba Area Public Schools
  • Update department web applications and calendars to ensure timely and accurate information is available to stakeholders
  • Coordinate facility rentals, summer camps, and athletic registration processes
  • Coordinate facility assignments for practices and competitions
  • Organize team transportation and lodging
  • Manage awards and recognition programs for athletic events
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable for department expenses, including officials' payments and budget tracking
  • Maintain accurate records of student-athlete participation, eligibility, and compliance with MHSAA rules and deadlines
  • Use social media platforms to highlight events and achievements
  • Compile data and create reports for the Athletic Director as needed
