Game Master Job Description
A Game Master provides an unforgettable and immersive experience for the guests in this new and exciting entertainment. The Game Master will provide customers with game rules and tips during the orientation phase of the game and will monitor the customers for the duration of the game. At the end of the game, the Game Master will gain feedback from customers and make sure the guests leave with a smile on their faces.
This is a great job for students or people looking for evening work as most of our hours are in the evenings and on weekends.
The Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet players and explain Escape Rooms.
- Introduce players to the theme of their game using scripted briefing.
- Create excitement and intrigue.
- Watch and track players work their way through the game.
- Be ready at any moment to send a clue while keeping in character. Monitor for violations and address them swiftly, with politeness.
- Debrief players at end of game.
- Offer to take a team photo for the group in front of our photo wall.
- Immediately reset the game room in the allotted time.
- Repair any damaged props, puzzles, fixtures if possible. Report issues to management.
- Manage online game bookings.
- Answer phones/ emails- field questions, service customers. Pass appropriate contacts/ info to management.
- Keep game rooms, lobby, and bathroom clean and hazard- free.
- Provide great entertainment to a variety of guests.
- Help with miscellaneous projects: crafting, building, or offering other assistance to management.
Skills and Knowledge Required
- Excellent customer service skills- especially with guests of all ages. Must be professional, courteous and positive.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Must be a team player, willing to assist with miscellaneous tasks when necessary.
- Communication (verbal and written) and problem solving skills.
- Basic computer skills. Quick and accurate typing is a bonus.
- Additional skills, not required but favored: Crafting/ building skills- primarily in woodworking, painting, electrical, etc. Advanced computer skills- videography, animation, social media marketing, programming robotics, etc. Entrepreneurial skills/ experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.35 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
