Job Title: Event Assistant
What we do:
We are a full-service event planning company based out of Peoria, Arizona that specializes in Event Coordination, Staffing, and Rentals. Escape offers an all-inclusive party planning experience with an eye for detail, style and elegance. Our mission is to create opportunities for meaningful connections and our all-inclusive approach allows us to do just that! We begin by uniquely and thoughtfully designing our clients homes to be fully-functioning event spaces. We then handle all the details surrounding the execution of the event including Set-up, Service and Takedown.
Your Role:
The Event Assistant with work under a Lead or Day-of Coordinator to bring our clients events to life! You will be provided with a Event Specifics Document, & will work along side a team to successfully set-up and stage all necessary event supplies. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in customer service and an eye for detail.
Set-up/ Takedown:
- Pack event supplies into company trailer, utilizing a client rental agreement.
- Pack, transport and store event inventory appropriately and without damage.
- Stage tables, chairs and event equipment per a provided design plan and within a provided timeframe.
- Assist in projects related to decor such as arranging centerpieces and tablescapes.
- Perform all necessary tasks to set-up and takedown our clients events with little supervision.
- Build and maintain mutually respectful relationships with client, teammates, leads and outside vendors.
Service:
- Provide friendly and professional customer service by greeting and directing guests.
- Manage the clients event timeline by preparing for and executing event tasks; ie. gathering guests to sing ‘Happy Birthday.’
- Attend to guest needs by serving tables, offering beverages and cleaning event space.
- Clean off event rentals such as plates and cutlery and package away appropriately.
- Anticipate client needs and attend to them with little to no guidance.
- Ensure the event runs smoothly and the guests are having a good time.
- Clean event space from trash and perishables to prep for takedown.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to carry, transport and move up to 50bs.
- Must have reliable transportation.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 16 per week
