What are the responsibilities and job description for the Game Master position at Escapology?

Responsibilities
Escapology Game Masters will ensure an excellent customer experience for everyone!
Additional responsibilities include:
- Deliver an excellent and professional customer service experience
- Answering the phone (questions, scheduling, booking customers, etc)
- Meet and greet customers with a warm welcome and positive attitude
- Customer check-in (including waivers, payments, etc)
- Pre-game services (explains the rules, game, story, etc)
- Running multiple games at once (monitor, provide hints, support, etc)
- Communicating with the entire team and interacting with customers
- Deal with any issues effectively, efficiently, and graciously
- Post-game experience (game debrief, pictures, etc)
- Resetting game room quickly and correctly for next customers
- Cleaning and disinfecting game rooms and common areas around venue
- Perform general tasks around the venue to assist in its operation
- Upsell games and merchandise to customers
- Take direction from management and execute accordingly and effectively
- Maintain company standards (training, safety, apparel, etc)
Qualifications
Escapology Game Masters must possess excellent communication and customer service skills. The ideal game master is organized, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about serving customers.
Additional qualifications include:
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Availability to work evenings and weekends (including holidays); requires flexibility
- Outgoing and confident with good communication skills, and good at speaking to groups
- Ability to multitask and manage high pressure situations (problem solving, quick thinking)
- Takes directions well and completes tasks thoroughly without cutting corners
- Good initiative and does necessary tasks without needing prompting
- Has good attention to detail
- Able to work within a team and is a good team player
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and regularly lift up to 20 pounds
- Ability to pass a background check
- Customer service and escape room industry experience preferred
- Experience with social media, marketing, event planning/management, electronics and computer/network technology, and basic handyman skills are a plus
