ESCO Security Consulting is currently hiring regional Event Operations Managers for their offices/warehouses in Cleveland, OH, Atlanta, GA and Los Angeles, CA. Successful applicants will work directly for the ESCO Director of Operations.

ESCO is an Austin, TX based consulting firm formed in 2002 by Public Safety and Event Security Professionals. ESCO’s mission is to provide the most highly effective security screening equipment and operational planning available to the special events industry. ESCO rents and services walk through metal detectors and hostile vehicle barriers for a variety of professional sports leagues, entertainment venues, concert events, music festivals and industry conventions. Job duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Load delivery trucks by hand or forklift. Drive large box trucks to event sites.
  • Load/unload and build security screening machinery, which will require continued movement and the lifting of electronic components weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
  • Work routinely on a six to eight-foot ladder installing low voltage power cables.
  • Install miscellaneous event-related equipment (barricades, stanchions, signage, trash cans, tables, etc.).
  • Train local event staff on the proper procedures for security screening.
  • Utilize hand tools, radios and cell phone communications routinely.
  • Work in an outdoor environment entailing all four seasons.
  • Work on a strict timeline ensuring that all equipment is built and fully functional for the start of major events.
  • Maintain records and gather receipts which may be charged back to specific events or clients.
  • Operate basic office equipment and computers. Understand applicable software programs (Gmail, Google Sheets, Microsoft Word and Excel, etc.).
  • Comply with the established dress code and corporate policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must be a self-starter and extremely reliable. High school degree required, or higher level of education preferred. Position has potential to advance to higher management roles and responsibilities.
  • Valid Driver’s License with the ability to eventually obtain CDL endorsements.
  • Successful applicants will need to be able to routinely pass background checks related to criminal history, driver’s record, drug usage and financial credibility since ESCO staff work in the security field.
  • State security licensing may be requested of a successful applicant, but costs will be covered by the company.
  • Successful applicant should either possess an international passport OR be able to apply for and acquire this documentation shortly after starting work with ESCO.

Prime candidates would have the following previous experience:

  • Knowledge in the installation and/or usage of Walk Through Metal Detectors or an understanding of simple electronics.
  • Background in the major event industry at shows or facilities utilizing security screening practices.
  • Knowledge of major events in the areas of logistics, budgeting, planning and support.
  • Organizational skills in travel needs and scheduling (ex: flights, hotels, ground transportation, rental cars, etc.).
  • Expertise in the development and training of event procedures with private security.
  • Experience in traveling on their own since travel is a critical part of this job assignment. Applicant should be comfortable traveling nationally and internationally.

Compensation:

  • Compensation based upon experience and qualifications.
  • Salary range $60,000.00 to $72,000.00.
  • Health benefits included.
