What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Shop Sales Associate (full-time) position at Escondido Golf and Lake Club?
As a part of the Escondido team, the Golf Shop Associate is held to a high level of excellence.

The Golf Shop Associate will work directly with the Golf Shop Merchandiser/Buyer to create a truly unique and exciting shopping experience for all Members and guests of Escondido. This person should be personable, outgoing, proactive, and have a passion for fashion and operating a retail business.
Tasks and Activities
- Answers questions concerning club services.
- Maintains billing charges of members and guests; submits billing charges to accounting department in a timely manner.
- Assists in development of open-to-buy procedures for each category.
- Promotes daily golf shop sales and superior customer relations.
- Plans, promotes, merchandises and markets special events and sales.
- Develops and maintains shop displays.
- Assists in the management of the receiving and checking-in of all merchandise.
- Processes paperwork and coding on invoices.
- Maintains daily adherence to yearly golf operations and merchandise goals and strategies.
- Monthly inventory management.
- Adheres to procedures for special orders and returns.
- Assists customers with merchandise selections; manages golf shop counter.
- Maintains the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Charges guests when they pay their own fees and records transaction using log sheet.
- Coordinates shop changeovers for special events and seasons.
- Attends staff meetings.
- Completes other tasks as assigned by the golf professionals.
- Keeps all work areas clean and organized.
- Understand and emulate the Escondido culture and provide the Escondido standard of service and hospitality.
- Meet expectations set out by the Escondido Credo.

Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience in retail sales
- Proficient in basic math and retail math
- Ability to operate Jonas POS systems
- Experience with stocking and merchandising products
- Familiarity with product demonstrations and phone etiquette
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
