Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue for the company. The Business Development Manager will play a key role in expanding our client base, establishing strategic partnerships, and fostering long-term relationships with clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Market Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Analyze data to develop insights and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Business Strategy Development:
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and areas for expansion.
  • Lead Generation and Prospecting:
  • Generate leads through various channels including networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
  • Qualify leads and prospects to determine potential fit and alignment with company offerings.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Understand client needs and objectives to tailor solutions and proposals accordingly.
  • Proposal Development and Negotiation:
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Negotiate terms and close deals to achieve sales targets.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, product development, and operations to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of projects and client satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Track and report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and key metrics.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies.
  • Continuously update knowledge and skills to remain competitive in the market.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving sales targets and objectives.
  • Experience in the foodservice industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • · At least 1 year of general work experience


    · Ability to create & conduct presentations and strong communication skills


    · Ability to use and understand mobile applications


    · Ability to work variable schedule, pre-determined with your manager


    · Must have and maintain a valid driver's license


    · Must have and maintain current vehicle liability insurance, as specified by the company.


    · Must have a driving record with no major moving violations in the last three (3) years *


    · Must provide and maintain a personal vehicle for use during employee working hours


    · Frequent lifting of 25 pounds. Occasional lifting of 50 pounds, bending, reaching, kneeling, and light merchandising


    · Ability to read information in small, medium, and large print


    · Ability to stand a minimum of 6 hours during the workday


    Additional qualifications that will make you successful in the role:


    · Bachelor's degree/3-4 Yr. College - Univ. Degree preferred


    · 3-4 years previous operations experience preferred


    · Food/beverage industry experience preferred


    · Must be 18 years of age or older


    · Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills


    · Excellent planning and organization skills


    · Proficient in computer application skills
